After earning her music degree and working as a classical musician, Diana fell in love with folk rock, trading in the concert stage for dark, smoky bars. She was a folksinger in the `60s, a rocker in the `70s, then turned to computer publishing in the `80s so she could buy a farm. She ended her "musical retirement" in 1994 to join the nature oriented band, "KIVA," in which she is still active. She is a member of the East Coast lineup of the Celtic-psychedelic band, "Green Crown," and has played with Owain Phyffe of the "New World Renaissance Band" at the Maryland and Virginia Renaissance Faires and in concert venues in the DC area. Folk Nouveau has brought her full circle, offering her the opportunity to pull out of the mothballs all those old classical, jazz, blues, and early folk chops. Diana is a singer, guitarist, and percussionist who is as comfortable and experienced in the recording studio as she is in live performance environments. She was thrilled to have been included in Izolda's "Sound the Deep Waters" project, and she thoroughly enjoys her part in bringing the songs from the CD to life on stage. |
