The voice is our first instrument. Let's play.

The voice, being our first instrument, has the greatest physical, emotional and spiritual connection to our body. Throughout the ages, people have used song both to express themselves and to connect with the sacred. And yet, usually, we sing without first establishing the crucial connection between the breath, body, and voice. Or perhaps we are afraid to sing because we fear that we cannot sing. Using yoga asanas, breath work, and vocal exercises and techniques, this workshop focuses on connecting the body to the breath, the breath to the voice, the voice to the song and the song to the spirit. We will sing from our deepest breath and our deepest selves all while cultivating an open body and spirit through yoga. We will also increase everyone's comfort level with vocalizing and develop listening skills to aid in feeling joyful about singing both individually and with others.

In addition, students keep singing with the exclusive "Find Your Sacred Voice" Practice CDs. Every workshop participant receives these CDs, which make singing, learning, and practicing a breeze!

Workshop duration: One, two, or four hours.
Group size: Up to fifty participants.
