Work together to achieve goals creatively and discover the joy and power of singing.

Develop a creative bond and common focus when singing with others.

The voice is our first instrument. In this workshop, we will develop it to communicate, coalesce as a group, and achieve goals together. Using physical and vocal exercises and techniques, and focusing tools, this workshop concentrates on connecting the body to the breath, the breath to the voice, the voice to the song and the song to others.

We will also increase participants' comfort level with vocalizing, increase the ability to focus on individual tasks while working within a group and develop some listening skills to aid in feeling joyful about singing and communicating with others. One of the best outcomes of this workshops occurs when participants who have never known each other in light of something so vital and personal begin to see in each other kindred spirits in song. They leave this workshop with the knowledge that together, working as a team, they created something unique.

Izolda's demeanor and connection to our unit was engaging and electrifying! In just two hours, she had even the most reluctant members of our team singing and having a great time. We will definitely carry these techniques with us on our "clown rounds" and beyond in our individual careers.
