Right Now I Know © 2003 by Izolda Trakhtenberg

This one was the result of noodling around on the guitar and being inspired by a friend. I was fiddling around on the guitar using a third hand capo (you can capo some strings but not others), and I was downloading email and got one from my friend Reneé who is a dancer. I really respect her choices and decisions to live her life on her own terms and to live the dance. This is dedicated to dancers everywhere, to people who find the courage to live life in careers that are unorthodox, and also to people who live as part of the natural rhythms of the Earth. Oh and this was originally called, Woke Up Today, but then I asked for a recent audience to give it a better title if they could and Reneé (the dancer) named it "Maybe Tomorrow." So now, it looks like the title will be: Right Now I Know (Maybe Tomorrow). **Here is an MP3 of part of the song.**

    Right Now I Know

Right now I don't know where I'm going
Don't know when I will be back
Put out the "Back in 5 minutes" sign
Know that the time's not exact

Gotta go get me some breathing room
Dance with clouds in the sky
My feet gotta move to a different tune
My spirit has just gotta fly

      Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow
      Maybe I'm on borrowed time
Right now I know something's been hollow
Gotta find my rhythm and rhyme

Spent all this time doing other folks chores
Picked up my last piece for sure
Nothing's the same since I woke up today
I only know freedom's the cure

The leaves on the trees and the dolphins in oceans
Singing their song just for me
Quietly listening to wisdom of ages
I've opened my heart; now I see

      Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow
      Maybe I'm on borrowed time
Right now I know nothing is hollow
I've found my rhythm and rhyme
