The Howl © 1997 by Izolda Trakhtenberg

This is one of the first songs I have ever written. It is dedicated to the earth and her creatures with the hope that we learn from our mistakes.

      Wolf song crying out
      Wild calls dying out
      Land that's wasted
      Land that's tasted freedom before

[Chorus of:] ooh ooh ooh ooh

      Forests leveled flat
Progress stalks the owl and cat
      There's nothing to see
      (they tell us)
It's just the stump of a tree

[Chorus of:] ooh ooh ooh ooh

      Smoke billows on
      Hiding the sun
We go home hang our heads
Will it end when gaia is dead?

[Chorus of:] ooh ooh ooh ooh

      Nature crying out
      Species dying out
      We must find the link
To bring us back from the brink

      Wolf song howling out
      Wild calls ringing out
      All through the night
      Freedom's in sight

[Chorus of:] ooh ooh ooh ooh
