Leaves © 2001 by Izolda TrakhtenbergThis little ditty
came along at this year's Swannanoa Festival. We got an assignment
in a song writing class to write a poem/song in the style of Dr. Seuss.
This is the result. It's kind of like a riddle song. Enjoy.
The shushing sound through autumn goes And what is it we see and hear That on the turning of life's gear Does jig and whirl throughout the year And makes a sound both far and near? The answer is quite crystal clear It's all those wondrous leaves, my dear.
