Here are some pics from the latest trip (to New Mexico). My Mom and I took a long weekend vacation in September 2003, and we had a blast. Many thanks go out to Kip and Roxanne for making us feel so welcome. Here's the second batch.

What an unbelievable landscape - just about anywhere you look. (White Rock, I believe)

I cannot get over that sky.

On the way to Acoma Pueblo (big thanks go out to my Mom for being understanding about stopping the car every 50 feet so that I could take photographs).

This is at Bandolier National Monument.

The flowers add a nice foreground to the awe-inspiring mesas. I hear that people go out every day to take photographs of the mountains because they are different every day. I can see what they mean.

Bandolier National Monument.

This incredible view looks like a speeding train, but a gigantic, natural one.

We stopped off to buy a rug (all hand dyed with natural dyes btw) and Don Quixote and Sancho Panza greeted us.

The myriad textures of the landscape just fascinate me. (on the way to Santa Fe)

A far-reaching cloud near Bandolier.

OK, I had to take a photo from the plane going home. How could I resist?

I love moonrises and moonsets. And this one was heading down and is still quite visible in all that blue blue sky. (just outside of Acoma Pueblo)

A relaxing place to sit before heading off for the day's adventure (Taos)

These trees look like sentinels to me.

Life goes on no matter how thirsty we may be.

I love the juxtaposition of the lavender and the yellow on these flowers.

Cacti in the sunlight.

An incredible mesa on the way to Acoma Pueblo.
