I'm a research assistant/web developer/photographer and soil science educator for the GLOBE (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) Program. This is an environmental education initiative started by VP Gore to get students, scientists, and teachers together to do science experiments and studies that will benefit the environment. My boss is the investigating scientist for the soil sciences (soil characterization) portion of the GLOBE. So, we've created a really fun and educational Soil Science Education Home Page. This page has all sorts of soil-related info including: everything from putting up people's earth/soil-related poetry to interviewing artists, writers and soil officionados to stuff on composting and fun soil-related science fair projects. I also do photography for the site. And, I get to go out to schools and training sessions and teach students all about the soil and how important it is to care for it and for the earth herself. I also used to travel to workshops all over the world to teach about soil characterization. The scope of my position has changed and I no longer travel as much, but I still concentrate on developing learning materials and the webpage (I'm also going to be beginning work on a new project that looks at human health and specifically childhood asthma.). This has given me much-needed time to develop my artistic endeavors such as music and photography.
My resume is under construction.
Also, after a long break, I've finally gotten back into doing voiceovers again. Here are some samples.
